Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton posted on X encouraging college basketball fans to fill out a single bracket for the men's and women's NCAA tournaments rather than multiple entries.
In the post, Haliburton wrote, "Make one bracket and stand on it."[1] Speaking to Fox News Digital, the 24-year-old guard explained his view, saying people who enter numerous brackets cannot make up their minds and that one should commit to a choice.[1]
Haliburton, who played one season for the Iowa State Cyclones in 2019-20, selected his alma mater to win the men's national championship.[1][2] He acknowledged some logic in making separate brackets for a realistic prediction and an optimistic one favoring one's school but emphasized belief in Iowa State.[1]
The Pacers All-Star, a two-time NBA All-Star selection, partners with Reese's on its March Madness Bracket Busting Campaign.[1] The promotion invites fans to share busted brackets on social media using #ForAReesesSweeps for chances to win Reese's products and tickets to the Final Four or championship games.[1]
Haliburton joined New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart and analysts Richard Jefferson and Andraya Carter for a Bracket Summit to share tournament picks.[1]
Iowa State recently honored Haliburton at halftime of a home game at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.[1]
