ACW Tag Champions The Now Face Sent 2 Slaughter in Steel Cage

Awesome Championship Wrestling holds its Reckoning event Saturday at the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. Tag team champions Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins, known as The Now, defend their titles against Danny Maff and Shawn Donovan of Sent 2 Slaughter inside a steel cage. The match aims to conclude a rivalry that has spanned multiple promotions in the Northeast.

The card features wrestlers from major promotions including IWGP global heavyweight champion Andrade, NWA world historic middleweight champion Flip Gordon, ACW women's champion Steph De Lander, TNA's Indi Hartwell and MLW's Lady Frost. Independent standouts Richard Holliday and Ben Bishop also appear. Dalishus and Collins, who promote ACW, described the feud's personal nature, with Sent 2 Slaughter interrupting Dalishus's wedding and Collins's Hall of Fame ceremony at Johnny Rodz’s wrestling school.

The rivals previously clashed in a steel cage where The Now's manager Josh Shernoff turned on them. Dalishus and Collins captured the titles from Sent 2 Slaughter at WrestlePro. ACW launched its first show in January 2025 at the MJN Center, a venue with wrestling history including WWF, WWE, ECW and TNA events.

Reckoning includes inductions of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Mike Bell into the MJN Center’s Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Dalishus and Collins credit the venue partnership and production quality for ACW's growth, with plans to expand beyond Poughkeepsie.
